Role overview:
We are a small team of 7 people, but we are moving at a fast pace. Iteration speed is crucial for us. Over the past year, we have built a lot, but there is still significant work to be done. It is clear that we would greatly benefit from a product-focused UI/UX designer, as engineers are not always the best designers.
Our technology is becoming quite advanced, but we could do a much better job of showcasing it and helping all of our users leverage it effectively. This is where you come in. We have a fairly large application for configuring, building, and monitoring an Autonomous AI recruiter that could benefit from a major refresh and more overall thought around the user experience.
As a startup, even though your primary focus will be on the product, we will also have design needs in other areas, such as decks, advertisements, one-pagers, and branding.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design of new features and improvements for our digital products.
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance existing products and inform new ones.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
About you:
You have previously led product design from scratch at a startup, and you always strive for excellence. You are pragmatic and can handle the ambiguity of a complex product. Nothing is more satisfying to you than transforming complexity into clean and beautiful UI/UX to delight your customers.
If you are relentless and looking to join an early, hard-working team, we want you. We are seeking someone who is ready to embrace a new challenge and commit to it 100%.
Your diploma doesn't matter to us; we only care about your skills.
- 4+ years of experience as a product designer
- Track record of building processes from zero to one and implementing them
- Customer-first driven thinking
- Strong cross team collaborator, both speaking and especially writing (since we are remote)
Nice to haves:
- Experience working with tools including but not limited to Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Framer, Shortcut, FullStory, Slack
- Experience working on products in both B2B and B2C companies
- A strong understanding of software engineering workflows and principles is encouraged
Please, send an email with a couple of sentences to describe your background and motivation, along with your expected salary. And be sure to share your portfolio when reaching out. We believe that, just like great engineers have a good GitHub profile, great designers have a great portfolio.
Please don't take it personally if you don't hear back from us quickly or at all. We receive a large number of applications, and unfortunately, time is scarce in startups, so we can't reply to everyone.
