Role overview
This role owns the company’s financial strategy and day-to-day financial control across planning, reporting, cash flow, and compliance. You will work closely with the CEO and COO to improve margin, build better financial visibility, and make sure the finance function can support a fast-growing business without losing accuracy or speed.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own the company’s financial strategy, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and financial models to support growth, pricing, and resource allocation
- Manage the full P&L and deliver weekly and monthly scorecards with variance analysis, clear commentary, and practical recommendations to improve net margin
- Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, deferred revenue tracking, and oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking relationships
- Audit and control operating expenses across payroll, software subscriptions, and provider contracts, and hold budget owners accountable to spending plans
- Partner with the CEO, COO, and department leads to improve financial decision-making, surface risks early, and create visibility across the business
- Ensure compliance with US tax and financial reporting requirements, and oversee audits, filings, and financial terms in contracts, NDAs, and provider agreements
- Manage and develop the finance team while building scalable processes, SOPs, and tooling that support a growing company
✅ What Makes You a Strong Fit:
- 5-8 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or director-level role
- Proven experience owning a full P&L and improving net margin in a fast-paced business
- Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to turn data into decisions on pricing, growth, and resource allocation
- Deep understanding of cash flow management, deferred revenue, revenue recognition, and financial planning
- Experience leading a finance team and driving financial accountability across non-finance stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel or Google Sheets for reporting, forecasting, and control
- Upper-intermediate English or higher - used daily for leadership communication, written reporting, and reviewing contracts and financial documents
- High integrity, strong ownership, and comfort working in an environment where priorities move fast and not everything is fully defined
➕ Bonus if you have:
- Experience in SaaS, lead generation, or another high-growth startup environment
- Experience building a finance function or core finance processes from scratch
- Familiarity with BI tools and dashboarding for management reporting
- Experience with international payments and multi-entity or cross-border finance operations
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Zapier, Make, or n8n
