an Israeli startup based in the UK. The startup started as a payment gateway in 2020 quickly moved into a business management mobile app for small businesses. The app lets customers manage invoices, customers and the goal is to become a one-stop-shop for all of the business needs. They just finished a Seed investment (1, 2) of $3.2m and plan to make an A round in ~8 months.
They're looking for a developer that will be the leading part of the FE team, long term. Someone that can mostly manage himself and want to be part of a startup. Remote developers are being treated as an integral part of the team. Lately, the existing team was flown over to Israel for vacation, they are being gifted during holidays etc... Its important the developer will want the startup to succeed and not just complete the tasks as a simple "worker". The hours are very flexible and the philosophy is "goal oriented", hours dont matter as much as completing the goals and being available for emergencies and releases. On the other hand, developers are often awarded day-offs after hard weeks and effort are being compensated.
The developer will work with an existing remote team- small FE team, communicate with the backend team, and technically work under the CEO/CTO of the company.
FE tech stack is RN/Redux and React for a web component and admin dashboard [ReactJS is a plus but not a must]. The developer will be free to take the app to the direction he wants, improve it etc. The developer will need to know how to integrate 3rd party APIs, implement design well, use RN best practices, package the app etc.
The tools being used- Jira, Slack, Git. Appcenter. Scrum methodology with daily meetings.
Roadmap is continuing adding features that will make the app a "one-stop-shop". e.g adding a feature similar to calendly, marketplace, loyalty plans, and more. Also a redesign is expected.
