Coordinates all MIS development, including but not limited to installing and maintaining software and hardware in the office. Regular maintenance of all IT hardware . Works directly with all departments of the company. Is responsible for maintaining office communications equipment in good order and development of advanced programs of communications that will enhance efficiency and proficiency of the offices. The IT Specialist knows and understands major operating systems, various software applications and basic hardware for the PC, principles and theories of network systems and management; server configuration, firewall and switch configuration, Internet technologies and products, autonomous telephone system and basic understanding of electrical safety procedures Qualification requirements A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience. 5 years of progressive IT experience, including experience in a multi-office environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Russian. Strong project management, organizational and time management skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills Duties Provide software, hardware and network maintenance, support and problem solution to programs computer and IT system users in the DAIE Bishkek and regional offices. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is mandatory. Monitors and troubleshoots network/server operations and respond to problems reported by the user community. Experience with Windows Server operating systems and Cisco and/or Meraki firewall preferred. Assist program staff develop budgets for project IT infrastructure, provide specifications for project IT acquisitions, and assist in the evaluation of tenders for project equipment. On a scheduled and on an as need basis, travel to project sites to configure and install project local area networks, provide training to local users, and trouble-shoot issues. Maintains, repairs and upgrades servers and computers (laptops and desktops). Experience with Windows 7 and Windows 10 is preferred. Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems, including PC hardware problems and e-mail, Internet, remote access, and local-area network access problems. Creates and/or modifies accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, SharePoint and other similar applications. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint Online 2013 is preferred. Creates and modifies group policies in active directory. In consultation with HQ IT team, configures and maintains servers, firewall, switches, and other networked equipment for local area networks. Provides technical support to business teams implementing application such as data integration with existing systems, establishing single sign-on with cloud-based applications, trouble-shooting issues within the application portfolio. Creates materials for end-user frequently asked questions (FAQs). Monitors and reviews logs reporting on network and server operation, and trouble-shoots as required. Assist users in work with MIS and other software used by the Organization Prepare instructions on equipment use, reports and manuals. Technical manager and supervisor of Project WEB-sites. Create and maintain Projects' website if needed. Installation of software on workstations. Participate in electronic development and preparation of reports on Organization’s performance. As necessary, develop special applications for users. Timely upgrades and updates all IT components. As necessary develop special applications for users. Supports and trains end-users in a wide range of software applications, as needed. Reads, understands and applies complex technical information, and masters new computer technology. Stays abreast of all latest IT issues. Exercises activities to optimize the system in compliance with the growing needs of the users. Implements new services, which have become available upon approval of new systems by management. Develops Manuals for the system's implemented components. Arranges scheduled precautionary monitoring activities. Provides scheduled activities to backup database and database restoration when necessary. Ensures and reports on data security and confidentiality issues. Any other relevant tasks as assigned by the project management.
