We are searching for an experienced manual QA Engineer to provide quality-focused engineering support to our new product and internal projects. This is a highly demanding role for an individual with a strong quality assurance tasting background with web/mobile products.
This role reports to the CTO and QA Team Lead.
To be successful, you must be results-oriented, self-motivated, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with different groups within the organization, including the Web Development and Product Management Teams.
This role is full-time and offers home working flexibility.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform manual testing, software quality assurance;
- Review code and provide feedback for other QA Engineers in the team;
- Write test plans, test cases, status reports, and summary reports;
- Talk through a Test plan, its implementation with engineers & what might break as part of a story;
- Focus on operational excellence, constructively identifying problems and proposing solutions, taking on projects that improve your team’s software, making it better and easier to maintain;
- Come up with a testing strategy for every release, including exploratory testing, to give us confidence that no major regressions are introduced & the changes are working as expected.
About You:
- 3+ years of experience in web services and/or mobile applications testing;
- Knowledge of basic terms, concepts, types of testing;
- Understanding of the software development process, the role of testing;
- Understanding of HTML + CSS and basic knowledge of SQL;
- Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle;
- Excellent knowledge of theory (fundamentals, methods, and types of testing) and the ability to apply them in practice;
- Experience working in an Agile environment (understand the difference between scrum/kanban);
- Ability to use development tools in a browser;
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Love working in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on teamwork, innovation, and open-mindedness;
- English level Intermediate and higher. Good technical English (read and write technical documentation);
Nice to have:
- Experience in writing autotests for REST API;
- Experience in automation testing using cloud services;
- In-depth understanding of software development process and life cycle, knowledge of software testing principles;
- Experience in creating Test Reports, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Surveys, Acceptance Sheets, Bug Reports.
