UMAI is a software provider that helps restaurants to save time and increase revenues by automating manual tasks, minimize last minute cancellations, upsell customers more effectively and provide more personalized service.

Tasks
- Design overall architecture of the web application.
- Work on all phases of the product life cycle, including integration, tests deployment and refactoring
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and launch new features.
- Maintain code quality, organization and automatization
- Maintaining AWS infrastructure
- Guard the quality of your work through quality assurance methods such as unit test and code reviews
- Execute code reviews for colleagues and juniors
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
- Coordinate with product owners on the technical strategic direction across all products
- Keep updated with the latest innovations and best practices in the industry
- Kick butt with a bad-ass team
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently on large, complex code bases
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development along with other common libraries
- AWS infrastructure, CD/CI
- Experience working with SQL such as PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with RESTful services
- Experience with Agile development workflows is a plus
- Understanding the use of git for versioning
- Experience working with ReactJS
- High level of coding standards (OO, DDD, design patterns, testing approaches, TDD)
- The ability to evaluate matters with a critical mind, and speak up accordingly
- Knowledge of microservices is an advantage
