Job Title: Social Media Manager (remote)

Overview:
The Uzbek American Association of Chicago, Al Bukhari Islamic Center of Chicago, and Uzbek School are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager to enhance our online presence, engage our communities, and promote our initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to work with three prominent organizations that play significant roles in the Uzbek-American community in Chicago.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Develop engaging and relevant content for social media platforms that aligns with the mission and goals of the organizations.
Create and curate visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia content to share across platforms.
Platform Management:
Manage and maintain social media accounts for the organizations, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Implement and optimize social media strategies to increase visibility, followership, and engagement.
Community Engagement:
Foster and build a sense of community through active engagement with followers, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Monitor online conversations related to the organisations and engage with relevant stakeholders.
Campaign Development:
Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote events, initiatives, and community activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between offline and online marketing efforts.
Analytics and Reporting:
Utilize social media analytics tools to track performance, measure the success of campaigns, and provide regular reports to the organizations' leadership.
Adjust strategies based on data insights to optimise future performance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing and communication teams of each organization to align social media efforts with overall organizational goals.
Collaborate with event coordinators to ensure effective promotion of events through social media channels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
Strong creative and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.(English, Uzbek)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of the Uzbek-American community and cultural sensitivities is a plus.
