Provide enterprise-wide technical support for the company’s diverse portfolio of applications, including application configuration, server hardening & security, problem identification & resolution, and application support.

Provide root cause analysis for technical issues. Act as an escalation point for technical issues with the infrastructure as a whole, internally developed applications, IIS, certificates, and network related outages.

Document policies, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to help maintain a knowledge base for the team.

Configure, manage, and maintain Windows server environment, internally developed applications, scripts and other tools as requested by the engineering team and support automated code deployment tools to facilitate software changes and enhancements.

Work with vendors and internal technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.

Monitor systems and applications performance to maintain agreed performance SLAs. Take proactive steps to improve performance when necessary.

Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC) by ensuring any technical or security requirements for new projects involve the responsible IT teams.

Assist in the concept and design architecture to support new products and applications both in our primary on-prem datacenter and leveraging cloud resources where appropriate or applicable.

Prepare, and deliver detailed presentations to management to illustrate ideas for technical or process improvement.

Required Skills:

Strong troubleshooting background

Ability to meet SLAs in a fast paced environment

Detail oriented and customer focused

Preferred Skills:

Cloud-native (Azure and AWS) configuration/administration skills a plus

Required Experience:

3+ years’ experience in a systems administration or equivalent role

Experience with Windows server administration

Experience configuring and maintaining Active Directory

Experience configuring and maintaining VMWare enterprise apps (vCenter, Horizon)

Experience automating routine tasks

Preferred Experience:

Experience maintaining cloud-based applications (Azure and AWS)

Linux experience a plus

SQL Server experience a plus

A technically complex system with several moving parts make troubleshooting issues challenging and satisfying. Work is different from day to day. The system is ever changing and there is lots of room for IT to drive improvement. Wide exposure to the IT infrastructure and responsibility for the code base makes the position one of the most important in the company.
