Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Middle QA Engineer to help bring a product from late-stage development into a stable production release. The role focuses on finding critical issues, improving day-to-day QA practices, validating releases, and working closely with developers to reduce regressions and production risk.
Key Responsibilities
• Test new and existing functionality across web applications, APIs, and integrations.
• Perform functional, exploratory, regression, smoke, and basic end-to-end testing.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs with clear steps, evidence, severity, and expected behavior.
• Validate bug fixes and ensure resolved issues do not introduce new regressions.
• Maintain practical test cases and regression checklists for critical user flows.
• Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman, Insomnia, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Verify QA/staging environments and report environment-related issues that block reliable testing.
• Support release readiness by checking critical flows before deployment and performing post-release smoke testing.
• Work closely with developers and product stakeholders to clarify requirements and raise quality risks early.
• Contribute to basic test automation where useful, especially for repetitive regression scenarios.
Requirements
• 2+ years of practical QA experience in web or SaaS products.
• Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals and bug life cycle.
• Experience testing APIs and working with browser developer tools.
• Ability to understand client-server behavior, logs, HTTP requests, and common integration issues.
• Experience with Jira, Linear, YouTrack, or another issue-tracking system.
• Basic SQL knowledge for validating application data.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and test automation is a strong advantage.
• Good communication, ownership, and attention to detail.
Primary Goal
Help the team reach a stable production state by reducing critical defects, creating a reliable regression process, and making release quality visible and repeatable.
