IT & Software Development Jobs

Careers in IT and software development

IT work extends beyond programming. Developers, testers, data specialists, infrastructure engineers and technical support teams all contribute to building and maintaining digital products. Choosing a suitable direction starts with understanding the everyday responsibilities behind a job title.

DevKG is Kyrgyzstan’s tech community with a job listings directory. This page brings together opportunities in the IT and development group. Availability within each specialisation depends on the vacancies currently published.

Programming and application development

Frontend developers work on user interfaces, while Backend developers focus on server-side logic and data. Fullstack roles can combine responsibilities across both areas. For mobile development, the application platform and technology stack are important parts of the role.

When looking for a developer job, consider more than the name of a language or framework. Building new features, maintaining an existing system, integrating services and making architectural decisions require different experience. Read about the project’s stage and the responsibility expected of the person joining it.

Testing, infrastructure and data

QA includes manual testing and test automation. Check which product you would test, which tools the team uses and whether programming skills are required.

DevOps, system administration and cloud infrastructure roles may involve deployment, monitoring and system reliability. In data analytics, Data Engineering and machine learning, look at the data sources, processing methods and outcomes the team expects.

The group also includes technical support, information security, systems analysis and IT product or project management. Assess the requirements of each specialisation on its own terms.

Experience levels and employer expectations

Intern, Junior, Middle and Senior labels help narrow your search, but expectations differ between companies. One employer may prioritise confidence with essential tools, while another expects independent decisions and ownership of a product component.

Compare the requirements with your projects and completed work. In your CV, explain the problems you addressed and your personal contribution alongside the technologies you used.

Work arrangements and choosing a role

A specialisation does not determine the working arrangement. The same field can include office-based, remote, hybrid and relocation opportunities. When considering a role in Bishkek or another location, check the workplace, schedule and employer’s conditions.

Compare compensation alongside responsibilities, experience requirements and working hours. Read the full vacancy and follow its application instructions. To explore other professional groups, visit the full jobs directory.

Questions about IT and development jobs

Does this section only include programmer jobs?

No. The IT and development group also includes QA, DevOps, data analytics, infrastructure, information security, technical support and other IT specialisations. Available opportunities depend on the vacancies published.

What is the difference between Frontend, Backend and Fullstack?

Frontend primarily concerns user interfaces, while Backend focuses on server-side logic and data processing. Fullstack combines responsibilities across both areas. The employer defines the specific technologies and scope of the position.

Can I find an IT job without experience?

Explore Intern and Junior opportunities when available. An entry-level position may still require basic knowledge, coursework projects or a practical assessment. A Junior title does not mean there are no requirements.

How can I search for jobs using my technology stack?

Search for a role or technology, such as Frontend, Java, Python or QA. Then read the complete description: a matching technology alone does not establish that the responsibilities or experience level suit you.

Are all IT jobs remote?

No. Specialisation and working arrangement are separate conditions. Check whether each position is office-based, remote, hybrid or involves relocation.

Are all vacancies written in English?

No. The English interface does not mean every job description is in English or that every employer accepts English-only applications. Check the language requirements in the vacancy.
