Job page: conditions, employer and how to apply

Open a listing in Jobs on DevKG. You can read it without signing in. Start with the conditions, then check the employer and how to apply.

1. See what the job is

The top of the page shows the job title and company information. It may also show the field of work and publication date. The date is the first publication date, not the most recent bump. A date alone does not tell you whether the position is still available.

If the company name is a link, select it to open the company page. Without a link, its public page may be unavailable. Anonymous listings hide the employer's name.

Use Share, if available, to send the listing to a friend. You can also copy the page address from your browser.

2. Check pay, work format and experience

The key facts card sits beside the text on a large screen and below the top section on a smaller one. It shows information supplied by the employer:

  • Pay. Check the amount, currency and pay period. “Unpaid” means no monetary payment is offered. If there is no amount, ask before the interview.
  • Work format. Office, remote, hybrid or relocation. Hybrid combines office work with working elsewhere. For relocation, ask who pays for the move and helps with documents.
  • Experience. The required level or number of years. Read the requirements for specific skills.

Here is an example of the card and its possible buttons. This is an illustration; use the buttons on the actual job page.

The job card: salary, work format, experience, the company with a green tick and a button. The button is one of three: Apply, Show contacts, or Apply on another site.

3. Read the details

The text may include a company and job description, requirements, responsibilities and conditions. Empty sections are not displayed.

Check the schedule, duties and location. For remote jobs, check eligible countries and time zones: “remote” does not always mean “from anywhere”. Ask the employer about any important missing conditions.

Missing one requirement? Separate essential skills from preferences. In your application, explain honestly what you can do and what you are ready to learn.

4. Understand the company badge

Verified company means the company completed verification on the site, for example using a corporate email address or documents. It does not guarantee a safe offer, salary payments or fulfilment of every promise.

An unverified-company notice means verification has not been completed. That alone does not prove fraud. If the name is hidden, first find out who is hiring and on what terms.

5. Choose how to contact the employer

The card offers one main action, depending on the listing and the site's features.
