How to edit, boost, close or delete a job

To change or close a job, open My jobs on DevKG. Find the job and open its ⋯ menu. A separate action may appear beside it, such as Raise to the top, Pay or Return from archive.

If the list is empty, check your account and clear the search and filters.

Edit a job

  1. In My jobs, open ⋯ → Edit.
  2. Select Edit beside the section you want to change.
  3. Make your changes, return to the review step and save.
  4. Read the message after saving and check the new status.

Editing an already paid publication does not require another payment. You do not need a new job to fix a typo.

Why an edit can trigger another review

Changes to the title, description, responsibilities, requirements, conditions, city, address, tags, contacts or salary trigger publication checks again. Changes to work format, experience, employment type or specialization alone do not.

The result can vary:

  • Published: your changes are live.
  • Under review: wait for a decision.
  • Rejected: select the status to read the reason and instructions.
  • Draft after a publication error: read the message in the form, fix the problem and submit again.

Published changes are passed to active copies on other sites. While changes are under review, do not assume copies have updated. See Posting one job on several sites.

Move a job up the list

  1. Find a Published job in My jobs.
  2. Select Raise to the top beside it.

Boosting is free. It updates the publication date, moves the job up the list and restarts its placement period if that period is limited. Dates also update on active copies on other sites.

The button becomes available after a one-day interval from publication or the latest boost. A countdown shows how long remains. It can appear on a newly published job too.

When a job closes automatically

The site determines the placement period; it may be limited or unlimited. Check For business for the terms.

For a limited period, the site sends a reminder during the final three days. Delivery depends on your notification settings. After the period ends, the job moves to the archive automatically.

An archived job leaves the active listings, but its page remains accessible with a closed-job notice.

To extend an active placement, use Raise to the top before it expires, when the button is available. An already archived job must first be returned from the archive.

Close recruitment by archiving

  1. Open the job's ⋯ menu.
  2. Select Archive.
  3. Check that its status changes to archived.

The job stays in your list but leaves the site's active listings. Active copies on other sites are archived too; updates may take some time. The direct page remains available as a closed vacancy.

You can archive jobs that are published, under review or awaiting company approval. Keep a draft for later or delete it.

Return a job from the archive

  1. In My jobs, select Return from archive beside the job.
  2. The form opens and the job becomes a draft. It is not yet published.
  3. Review the text, terms, contacts and services. Continue to the final step and check the Order summary.
  4. Select Publish or Pay and publish, depending on the total.

Returning to a draft does not itself republish copies on other sites. Check the sites in the form, then their statuses in Published on after publication. Copies removed from a site cannot be restored this way.

Create a similar job

  1. Open the old job's menu and select Duplicate.
  2. A new form opens with its details. Review the title, salary, contacts, anonymity and services before submitting old terms again.
  3. Save a draft or complete the steps and publish.

The old job stays unchanged. Selecting Duplicate alone does not save the new one; save or submit it from the form. Its paid services are charged separately.

Here, a copy means a new independent job. It is not a linked copy on another site: later edits to one do not change the other.

Delete a job

Open ⋯ → Delete, read the warning and confirm. Deleted jobs cannot be restored through the site. To simply stop recruiting, use the archive.

If money has already been deducted, do not pay again. If an unpaid order expires and the job returns to a draft, you can delete it as a draft. For payment help, see How to pay.
