Paid options when posting a job

Before publishing a job on DevKG, check the Order summary. It shows the posting price, optional services and total. You can remove unwanted options before paying.

Prices depend on the site and your choices. Use the Total in the form: it accounts for selected services and available discounts.

Where to check the price

  1. Open My jobs and select Create a job, or continue an existing draft.
  2. Complete the form up to the final review and publication step.
  1. 1. Who you're looking for
  2. 2. Describe the job
  3. 3. How to reach you
  4. 4. Check and publish
The four steps of the job form, as on the site
  1. Find the Order summary at the bottom. Check each line, the selected options and the Total.

Some options may already be selected. Keep only those you need. For help with the form, see How to post a job.

Available services

ItemWhat you getWhere to select it
Job publicationA job listing on the current site, either paid or freeIncluded as the basis of the order; it cannot be removed separately
Anonymous publicationA job card without the company's nameThe anonymous publication option under the company on step 1
No salary shownPermission to leave salary blank when the site charges for thisThe Leave the salary out option on step 1
Channel post about a jobA separate post about the job in the site's channelA checkbox in the Order summary
Job placement on a partner siteA copy of the job on the chosen siteThe additional sites section above the summary

Services vary by site. If an option is missing, it is not currently available. Free means that item has no charge.

If the site lets you omit salary for free, leave the field empty. There is no separate service to buy.

Remove unwanted services

  • Channel post: clear its checkbox in the Order summary.
  • Anonymity: return to step 1 and clear the option under the company.
  • Salary omission: clear the option on step 1 and enter the salary. Enabling omission clears previously entered amounts, so you must enter them again.
  • Another site: deselect it in the additional sites section.

Return to the summary and check the Total. If it is higher than expected, review each line: the publication itself may cost money as well as optional services.

Before choosing an option

Anonymous jobs

Review the description and contacts: a company name, email address or link can still identify the employer.

Channel posts and other sites

Payment does not mean an immediate channel post. Sending happens after the job is published, subject to moderation.

If you select other sites and enable a channel post, posts in partner channels may be added on sites offering that service. Check the prices beside the selected sites and the total. Partner channel posts follow the channel-post checkbox for the current site.

Some sites do not accept anonymous jobs; the form explains why a site is unavailable. Placement is charged when attempted. If the other site later removes the copy, or you remove it yourself, the placement charge is not refunded. See Posting a job on other sites.

Discounts, promo codes and points

A discounted service shows the old price crossed out beside the new one. A full discount shows Free. A separate Discount line represents an order discount not already included in individual line prices; it does not necessarily show all your savings.

Apply a points promo code on the Points page before paying, rather than on Finik. If you have a discount code and cannot find a field for it, read the promo code guide or ask support about its terms before paying.

Enable Spend points in the summary and check the updated total. The site's rules determine what share points can cover. Check your balance and the rules on the Points page. If points cover the whole amount, no money payment is needed, but the points will be deducted.

How to pay

  1. Check the total. If you need company documents, select the documents option when available and check the company details before paying.
  2. Select Pay and publish if there is an amount to pay. Otherwise, select Publish; there is no payment-page step.
  3. For Finik payments, choose an available method on your payment page.

Scan the code with your bank app. The code is valid for about an hour.

Return to the site after paying and wait for confirmation. See How to pay for publication for detailed instructions.

If you do not pay straight away

Open My jobs and check the status:

Draft
You started and saved it but have not sent it yet. Only you can see it.
Awaiting payment
You chose paid services; the payment is still to do.
Under review
A moderator is checking the vacancy, usually within one working day.
Published
The vacancy is on the site; candidates see it and apply.
Rejected
A moderator sent it back. Click the status to see what to fix.
Archived
The vacancy is off the site. You can bring it back or make a copy.
Vacancy statuses in "My vacancies"

For a job awaiting payment, select Pay and follow the instructions. If the payment window has expired, the job may return to Draft. Your text is kept: open the draft, review the services and current price, then submit it again.

Only need to move the job up?

For a published job, use the boost action in My jobs. It is free. The button becomes available after a one-day interval; until then, the remaining time is shown beside it. See Editing, refreshing or deleting a job.
