Profile and settings — find your posts and manage your account
Your profile is the entrance to your personal area on DevKG. Use it to find your posts, companies, support requests and settings. To change your city, for example, open Settings → Account.
Open your profile
- On a phone: select Profile at the bottom of the screen.
- On a computer: open your account menu at the top right.
If you see “Sign in” instead, sign in first.
Find your posts and applications
The available sections depend on the site's features.
- My jobs — vacancies you posted. Edit and manage them here: Edit, refresh or close a job.
- My applications — applications sent through the site and their statuses. Conversations by external email or messenger remain in those services.
- My events — events you created. Available actions depend on the event's settings and the site's features.
- My articles — your articles and drafts.
- My companies — companies you belong to. Your permissions determine what you can manage. If you need a company, create one.
- My sites — network sites you have joined.
- Support — your requests and the team's replies.
Interface language is a separate choice: Choose a language. For signing out, see the sign-in guide.
Open settings
Choose Settings from your profile or open settings directly. The tabs are at the top. On a phone, scroll the tab row sideways to see the others.
- Notifications
- What to send and where: on the site, by email or in Telegram.
- My notifications
- Every message the site has already sent you.
- Billing
- Payment history, receipts and a CSV export.
- Points
- How many points you have and what they were for.
- Account
- Sign-in methods, your city and deleting the account.
- Notifications — which messages to receive and where.
- My notifications — messages already received on the site.
- Billing — your payment history on this site.
- Account — sign-in methods, city, relocation preference and account deletion.
- Points — your points on this site.
Set up notifications
- Open Notifications.
- Choose message types and available channels: On site, Email or Telegram.
- To turn off all notifications controlled here, turn off Receive notifications.
Changes save when you toggle a switch. If saving fails, an error appears and the switch returns to its previous position.
If a channel is unavailable, read the reason beside it. You may need to add or verify an email address, or connect the site's Telegram bot. The site may also not have configured email delivery or a bot yet.
See Notifications for more detail.
Add a sign-in method
Open Account and find Sign-in methods. This section shows email and the Google and Telegram options available on the site.
- Choose Connect beside the method you want.
- Confirm with that service. When adding email, enter the code sent to your inbox.
- On returning, check that the method is connected.
A connected method opens the same account. The email connection button appears when your account has no email address yet.
If you are offered an account merge
This can happen when a sign-in method belongs to another account of yours. Check both accounts and the information on the screen. Confirm only if both accounts are yours.
Posts and points are combined under the service's rules; this does not transfer points between different sites. If merging is unavailable, contact support. Do not try to connect someone else's account.
Set or change your city
- On Account, find Where I live.
- Start typing your city and select it from the suggestions. Typing alone is not enough.
- Turn on Willing to relocate if it applies to you.
- Wait for the Saved message. There is no separate save button.
To remove your city, choose Clear. Your city and relocation preference are shared across the network. They are included when you send an application through the site. Changing your profile does not rewrite details in applications you already sent.
What is shared across sites?
Your account, connected sign-in methods, city and relocation preference are shared. Notification settings and payment history belong to the individual site.
Points are also tracked separately on each site.
Where to delete your account
The button is at the bottom of Account. Deletion affects every site in the network, not just DevKG. Your posts will stop being displayed.
If you are a company's only administrator, appoint another administrator or use the offered option to delete the company with your account. Read Delete your account before confirming.
If something does not work
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| A section is missing | Is that feature enabled on this site? If you saw it before, refresh and check which account you are using |
| Account is not visible on a phone | Scroll the settings tabs sideways |
| Your city did not save | Select a suggestion and wait for Saved. Retry if an error appears |
| Notifications do not arrive | Check the main switch, message type and any reason the channel is unavailable |
| A sign-in method will not connect | Read the message. If offered a merge, check both accounts first |
| Account deletion is blocked | Check for companies where you are the only administrator |
For help, contact support with the section name and error message. Do not send passwords or email codes.
