How to find a job — search and filters

Start with Jobs on DevKG. You can browse listings and descriptions without signing in. The site may ask you to sign in to apply through its form or view contact details.

You do not need every filter. Enter a job title, then add one or two conditions that matter most.

1. Enter the work you are looking for

Type a role or skill, such as “designer”, “accountant” or “Python”. Pause briefly after typing; results update automatically.

This is an illustration of search and filters. Use the actual controls on the Jobs page.

At the top are the search field and the Filter button. Below are the filter groups: city, field, specialisation, work format, experience, employment and salary. At the bottom are the picked filters, each with a cross to remove it, and a "Clear all" link.

2. Choose your important conditions

On a computer, filters sit beside the list. On a phone, open Filter. Their availability and order depend on the site.

FilterHow to use it
CityChoose where you want to work. For remote roles, you can start without a city and check residence restrictions in each vacancy
Field and specialisationChoose a field, then a narrower specialisation. Check your specialisation again if you change fields
Work formatOffice, Remote, Hybrid or Relocation. Hybrid combines office and off-site work. Read the listing for relocation terms and assistance
ExperienceSelect a suitable level. Some sites show No experience and year ranges; IT sites use Intern, Junior, Middle and Senior
EmploymentFull-time or part-time. Check the listing for actual hours and schedule
SalaryEnter a lower From amount, an upper To amount, or both

You can select several formats, experience levels or employment options. Remote and Hybrid, for example, means either format suits you. Different filters work together: city, experience and salary all narrow the results.

Looking for your first job?

Start with No experience or Intern and your chosen field. Read the requirements: no previous employment does not mean no skills are needed.

Looking for remote work?

Select Remote. Check residence requirements, time zone and hours of availability. A remote vacancy is not necessarily open to applicants in every country.

How the salary filter works

It finds vacancies whose stated pay range overlaps yours. A search from 60,000 can include a role offering 50,000–80,000; it does not guarantee that your offer will be at least 60,000.

3. Review your filters

Your selected conditions and the number of results appear above the list.

  • Remove one condition using its cross.
  • Choose Reset all to start again.

If there are no results, remove the salary limit, then broaden experience or location. Shorten or change your search terms: try “sales assistant” instead of “salesperson”, for example. No results can mean there are currently no matching published vacancies, not just too many filters.

4. Open a suitable vacancy

The card shows the role, company information and salary when supplied. An anonymous vacancy may hide the employer's name.

A check mark means the company has completed verification on the site. Still read the conditions and assess the offer yourself.

Open the card to read responsibilities, requirements, terms and contact options. See What is on a job page.

5. Apply

Follow the employer's chosen method: the site's form, an external website or contact details. For the site's form, prepare a short introduction and a résumé file if needed. See How to apply.

Applications submitted through the site and their statuses appear in My applications. Emails or messages sent directly to employers are not automatically added.

Return to your search

Set your filters and bookmark the page. Conditions are stored in its address. Opening the bookmark restores the search, but the available vacancies can change. A bookmark does not subscribe you to new-job alerts.

Check the list periodically and try alternative job titles. How often new jobs appear depends on employers and the site.
