How to request a publication refund
If you paid for a publication or service on DevKG that was not delivered, contact support. The team will check the order and the grounds for a refund. A missing publication does not mean a refund has already been processed.
When you can request a refund
| Situation | What the policy provides |
|---|---|
| A moderator rejected a paid publication | Your choice of a refund for publication and paid options, or another review after corrections without paying again |
| You cancelled before publication | Refund of the paid publication and options |
| Publication or an option was not delivered for reasons attributable to the site | Refund of the undelivered service |
| A duplicate or erroneous charge occurred and no publication was created | Refund of the extra or erroneous amount |
If the content can be corrected, you can choose another review instead. This does not guarantee approval or a particular publication speed. See Moderation.
If payment is merely pending and no money was charged, there is nothing to refund. If your bank shows a charge but the site shows an error, check Payment failed first. Do not pay again before establishing the first payment's state.
When taking down a publication does not qualify
Under the site's policy, publication delivers the service when it goes live. Later removing it yourself or deleting your account does not create a refund entitlement; there is no minimum display period.
This also applies to channel posts, advertising and partner-site placements already delivered. The policy also excludes refunds for removal due to fraud or serious violations. Check the policy and ask support how these provisions apply to your case.
If one service was delivered and another was not, identify the undelivered part. The outcome is not necessarily a refund of the whole order.
1. Find the payment
Open Settings → Billing. Find the entry by date, amount and purpose. Use search and the company filter if needed.
A payment line: number 3, the date and time of payment, purpose — the job “Accountant”, amount 1,500 som. Under Documents: Download receipt, the invoice and a credit note. The credit note appears once a payment with an invoice is refunded.
This is an example. Note your own order's:
- date and amount;
- service name and publication link;
INV-…invoice number, if available under Documents;- organisation name and tax ID if it paid.
The table row number is not a payment ID. If no identifier is available, date, amount and purpose are enough to begin the search.
2. Contact support
Open a new ticket or email [email protected] from the address linked to your account.
You can use this template:
Hello! Please check a refund for my payment on [date], amount [amount and currency]. Invoice: [number if available]. Publication: [link]. Reason: [what happened]. I would like [a refund / another review after corrections]. Payer: [organisation and tax ID if applicable].
For a duplicate charge, identify both transactions. If attaching bank evidence, hide the full card number and unrelated transactions. Support does not need your SMS code, password or CVV.
3. Wait for the response and receipt of money
The Refund policy gives these timeframes:
| Stage | Timeframe |
|---|---|
| Support response | Up to 3 business days |
| Sending an eligible refund | Up to 10 business days from the request |
| Receipt after sending | Depends on the bank; usually 1–30 days |
Sending the refund and receiving it are separate stages. The site does not deduct bank or payment-system fees from the agreed refund amount.
If the deadline has passed, reply in the same ticket and ask whether the refund was sent. Avoid duplicate requests.
Refund destination and documents
Money normally returns by the original method to the same card or account. Transfers to another person or organisation are not offered.
If the original method is unavailable, support will explain the written request needed for a bank transfer to the payer's own account. Do not supply someone else's account details.
Where accounting documents were issued, a credit note `CN-…` may appear under Documents after the refund is recorded. It records the accounting adjustment but does not prove the bank has credited the money. A missing credit note does not by itself prove no refund occurred.
What happens to points?
A full refund returns spent points to your balance and the money-paid portion to the payer. Purchase cashback is reversed.
A partial refund works differently: the corresponding share of cashback is reversed, while spent points are not automatically returned. Ask support to confirm your order's calculation. Reversing cashback you already spent may leave a negative points balance.
Points cannot be refunded as cash. See Points and invitations.
If you disagree with the decision
Send a formal complaint to [email protected] or the postal address in the Refund policy. Include the order, previous ticket and the disputed decision. The policy provides for action on complaints within 5 business days; this is not a promise of bank receipt within that period.
