How to verify a company with a corporate email
To verify your company, receive a code at its corporate email address and enter it on the site. After a successful check, a green “Verified company” checkmark appears beside the company name. You do not need to wait for a moderator.
This confirms that you have access to an email account on the company's domain.
Which email address to use
A corporate email address has the company's domain after the `@` sign.
For example, the company website is hardskilled.com and your work email is [email protected]. The shared part, hardskilled.com, is called a domain.
You can use your own work address or a shared mailbox, such as the HR team's email. You must be able to open the message.
Company website: hardskilled.com
- Works: [email protected]An address on the website domain — works
- Works: [email protected]A subdomain of the same website — also works
- Does not work: [email protected]A public mail service (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) — does not work
- Does not work: [email protected]A similar but different domain — does not work
In this example:
[email protected]works: the part after@matches the website's domain.[email protected]also works:mailis an extra part before the same domain.[email protected]does not work: the domain after@isgmail.com. Putting the company name before@does not change that.[email protected]does not work:.coand.comare different endings.
Before you start
Check these three things:
- The company has a profile on the site. If it does not, create the company first.
- You can open the corporate mailbox. If you do not know the address or how to sign in, ask the colleague who manages your work email.
- You have permission to edit the company. Administrators and members with the “Edits company” permission can verify it. Ask an administrator for help if needed. See Company members.
Step 1. Add the company website
- Open My companies.
- Choose the company.
- Open the Information tab.
- Enter the address in the Website field, for example
https://hardskilled.com, and save your changes.
If the correct website is already saved, leave it as it is.
Step 2. Send the code
- Open the Verification tab.
- Choose Corporate email.
- Check the hint under the field. It shows the required domain, such as
@hardskilled.com. - Enter the full email address, for example
[email protected]. - Click Send code.
You will see “Code sent. Check your inbox.”
If the form asks you to add a website first, click Open company info and follow step 1.
Step 3. Enter the code from the email
- Open the mailbox you entered in the previous step.
- Find the message with the code. Check Spam if it is not in your inbox.
- Copy the six-digit code.
- Return to the company verification page.
- Paste the code into Code from the email sent to….
- Click Confirm.
After a successful check, the company gets a green checkmark.
What the green checkmark means
The “Verified company” badge appears beside the company name on its page and publications. Email verification means that a member with editing permission confirmed access to a mailbox on the company's domain.
Verification applies across the platform's sites where the company is listed.
If verification was required before publishing a job, you can continue publishing after the check. The site's other requirements still apply. See Why company verification is required.
If the code does not arrive
- Make sure you opened the mailbox you entered for verification.
- Check Spam.
- Check the address on the screen. If there is a typo, click Change email, correct it, and send the code again.
- If the address is correct but no message arrives, ask the colleague who manages your email to check whether incoming messages are being blocked.
If this does not help, contact support.
If you see an error
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The email domain does not match the company website | Compare the website in the profile with the part after @. For hardskilled.com, an address such as [email protected] works. Check for typos. |
| The address uses a public email service | Use an address on the company's domain. Addresses ending in @gmail.com, @mail.ru, @yandex.ru, and other public email domains do not qualify. |
| The code is wrong or expired | Use the latest email. If the code still fails, click “Change email” and send a new code. |
| Too many attempts | Wait a minute and try again. |
| The code email could not be sent | Try sending it again in a minute. Contact support if the error continues. |
| You do not have permission | Ask an administrator to verify the company or grant you permission to edit it. |
| The company is already verified | No further check is needed. |
If you do not have a corporate email
You can verify the company with documents using an electronic taxpayer registration card, form STI-025.
You need the original PDF from the taxpayer account. Follow How to verify a company with documents.
