Company members — invite colleagues and set access rights
To let a colleague work on behalf of your company on DevKG, invite them by email and choose what they can do. They get access after accepting the invitation.
Open My companies → your company → Members. Administrators and people with the Manages members right can invite colleagues and change member rights.
Step 1. Invite a colleague
- Open your company's Members tab.
- Select Invite. If you are the only member, the button says Invite colleagues.
- Enter the email address your colleague uses or will use to sign in.
- Choose their rights using the table below.
- Select Invite.
Your colleague receives an email with a link. Until they respond, their entry appears under Invitations as Awaiting reply.
No email? Ask them to check spam, or use Copy link in the invitations list and send the link yourself. If the address is wrong or you change your mind, select Revoke on the pending invitation.
Which rights should you choose?
The person who creates the company becomes its first administrator. Administrators manage the company and can grant that role to others. Other members receive individual permissions.
| Right | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Writes posts | Create jobs, events and articles on behalf of the company, where available on the site |
| Publishes without approval | Send their publications onward without approval inside the company |
| Approves posts and applications | Review colleagues' publications and requests to join the company |
| Manages members | Invite people, change ordinary members' rights and remove them |
| Edits the company | Update the name, description, logo and other company details |
| Admin (all rights) | Manage the whole company, appoint other administrators and delete the company |
For someone preparing publications, keep Writes posts enabled. Add Publishes without approval if they may submit without your approval. They do not need to be an administrator just to publish jobs.
Step 2. Accept the invitation
The invited colleague follows these steps:
- Open the email link and sign in with the address that received the invitation.
- Open My companies and find Company invitations.
- Select Accept, or Decline if the invitation is not wanted.
The company then appears in their list. Available actions depend on the granted rights: creating publications requires Writes posts or the administrator role.
Change rights or remove a member
- Open My companies → company → Members.
- Select ⋯ next to the person.
- To change permissions, select Rights, adjust the checkboxes and save.
- To remove an ordinary member, select Delete.
Removing a member takes away their company rights. It does not delete their published jobs or automatically transfer control of all their publications to you.
Only an administrator can grant or remove the administrator role. An administrator has no Delete option: another administrator must remove that role first. You cannot change your own rights through the menu next to your name.
Join a company that already exists
Ask its administrator to invite you by email. There is no need to create another page for the same company.
Leave a company
Open the company in My companies, select Leave company and confirm. The company stays on the site, and you lose your member rights across the network.
To return, you need a new invitation or an approved request to join.
